CLEANSING

Removing your make-up at night is very important for getting rid of all the makeup products, dirt, and pollution. It helps you in maintaining a clear skin tone and avoiding blemishes and acne. Use lukewarm water to lather up the cleanser and help break down the make-up on your face. Spend at least a minute going over your face ensuring you’ve cleansed all areas. Prefer cleansers that contain moisturizers to avoid stripping your skin of its natural moisture barrier.

TONING


Do not I repeat do not use any product that contains alcohol as it will make your skin dry during the winter. Moisturizing reduces the chances of skin problems because when the skin is too dry or too oily, many common skin problems like acne start to pop up. Moisturizing can reduce the appearance of blemishes, helps your skin stay young, and fights wrinkles. It’s the perfect end to a hot shower.

SOME BONUS TIPS

Stay hydrated, drink as much as water you can.


Lips can get really chappy, use a good lip balm to keep them hydrated.


Do not skip sunscreen at any cost. The warm sun rays feel pleasant, but the UV rays can still damage your skin a lot.

RUB RUB & SCRUB

If your skin has become dehydrated, dry and flaky, you need to get rid of the dead cells that are blocking moisture from entering your skin. You can use a soft loofah in the shower or mild a body scrub at least twice a week. Massage your skin with a loofah or use scrub gently all over your body with your hands and make sure your skin is damp enough or else you'll end up irritating your skin.

LOTION IS YOUR SOLUTION

In winter the weather is extremely dry and harsh on the skin. Your natural body oils are not quite enough to provide the moisture your skin needs. You need extra moisturizer instantly after your shower because during winter hot water can strip away all your natural oils. Slather the lotion on to your skin while it is still damp. Avoid creams and lotions with fragrances and preservatives because they can further dry your skin causing irritation.

And to add some extra suppleness, pull on a pair of socks and if you're willing to take a step further wear a pair of fuzzy gloves as well. SUN-SCREAM

While sunscreen may seem like a complete summer concept, it is equally essential in winter as well. India lies in a tropical region, hence it is exposed to harmful UV rays throughout the year whether its summer or winter. So do not think of skipping SPF. Make sure you apply a generous amount of sunscreen before stepping out in the sun. Also do not forget to reapply it every few hours especially if you're outdoors.
